Rick Enstrom ran for, and won, Mesa County Commission at the of age 24 (at the time the youngest in Colorado history). Subsequently, he served on the Grand Junction Airport Authority, the Board of Social Services, the Community Action Agency and Mesa County Board of Health.

Following his term on the County Commission, Enstrom purchased AirTime Records and Video and he and his family returned to Lakewood.
Enstrom currently serves as President of the Jefferson County Foothills Republicans.

In a statement sent to the Aadland campaign, Enstrom said:

“It’s my pleasure to endorse Erik Aadland for Congress. I’ve been part of the political and business communities in Colorado for most of my life, and as such I’ve seen many would-be leaders come and go. I’m proud to say that Erik is the real deal, both in his desire and his qualifications to serve Coloradans.
Erik’s experience encompasses the struggles and successes of leading teams all over the world in multiple contexts. He is well prepared, in the depth of his thought and of his character, for the challenges of representing his constituents with wisdom and integrity. I have no doubt that he will elevate the discourse in Washington while remaining true to Colorado and Constitutional values.”

Erik’s remarks:

“I’m deeply appreciative of Rick’s endorsement. It’s a true honor and a boost to all our supporters’ confidence to know that a leader of his caliber and tenure, with experience in so many facets of business, politics, and life, has surveyed the field and recognized me as the best choice to represent our community.
With the encouragement of constituents like Rick, I remain enthusiastically committed to bringing the hopes, dreams, and concerns of everyday Coloradans to Washington.”
