ENDORSEMENT

Michael Allen is the 4th Judicial District Attorney. Allen enlisted into the Navy after graduating from Arvada West High School then served as an Aviation Electronics Technician—most recently aboard the USS Carl Vinson—until receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1998. Allen earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a law degree from the University of Kansas.

Allen began his legal career as a prosecutor intern in the Johnson County Kansas District Attorney’s Office, Kansas Attorney General’s Office, and the Douglas County KS District Attorney’s Office. He joined the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (serving Teller and El Paso Counties) in 2011 and has served the Pikes Peak region in several roles.

Allen was sworn in as the elected District Attorney of Colorado’s Fourth Judicial District on January 12, 2021.

In a statement to the Aadland campaign, Allen said:

As a law enforcement official with 17 years of experience I value Erik’s strong commitment to public safety, and his demonstrated passion to uphold and defend our Constitutionally protected rights. Erik knows and appreciates the foundational role that public safety plays in the flourishing of our community. Erik will face the crises we are facing in Colorado and our nation and he will be a champion for law and order. Erik has served our nation and has the resolve necessary to fight on our behalf in Washington, and restore the promise embodied by ‘We The People’. I have every confidence that, just as he was in the military and the private sector, Erik will be a strong servant leader who keeps the concerns of his constituents foremost in his thoughts and actions.”
