September 19, 2022

Today, Erik Aadland, CD7 Republican candidate for Congress, announces a formal endorsement from former United States Senator, Cory Gardner.

Cory Gardner served as a United States senator from Colorado from 2015 to 2021. Gardner is a native Coloradan who attended Colorado State University and The University of Colorado obtaining his law degree. From 2005 to 2021, Gardner served in various offices representing Colorado in the Colorado House of Representatives (2005-2011), the US House of Representatives (2011-2015) and the US Senate (2015-2021).

Politically, Senator Gardner is known for introducing the “National Suicide Hotline Designation Act” creating a new nationwide three-digit phone number (988), and the “Great American Outdoors Act” funding the Land and Water Conservation Fund towards federal lands.

In a statement sent to the Aaldnad campaign, Senator Gardner stated:

The people of Colorado deserve a battle-tested leader who will listen and fight for them. That’s why I’ve endorsed Erik Aadland for Congress. Erik is a man of principle who has lived by a core set of values his whole life. He was born into a military family, graduated from West Point, fought for America in the War Against Terrorism, and now he’s running to serve our great nation in Washington. A warrior like him is exactly who we need to bridge the divides and fight for our values. We need to get America back on track and it starts by electing Erik Aadland.

Erik’s remarks:

I am thankful for Senator Gardner’s endorsement, knowing all he has done to serve the interests of Coloradans in Washington. He knows what it takes to faithfully represent the people of our great state, and I am honored to have his confidence in my ability to do the same.
