Erik Aadland announces a formal endorsement from Local Engineer and Businessman Don Ytterberg

September 7, 2022

Today, Erik Aadland, CD7 Republican candidate for Congress, announces a formal endorsement from local engineer and businessman Don Ytterberg.

Don Ytterberg is an industrial engineer and businessman residing in Golden, Colorado. Since 1990, Ytterberg has been President/Partner of Advanced Surface Technologies, a precision metal plating company in Arvada. He was elected four times to Chair the Jefferson County Republican Party between 2009 to 2017 and twice elected Vice Chairman of the Colorado Republican Party in 2011 and 2013. Ytterberg was also the 2008 Republican nominee for the 16th Senate District of Colorado and the 2014 Republican nominee seeking election to the U. S. House to represent the 7th Congressional District for Colorado.

Ytterberg holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from The University of Washington and a M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University.

In a statement sent to the Aadland campaign, Ytterberg stated:

I am proud to offer my endorsement of Erik Aadland for Congress in Colorado Congressional District 7. Congress is constantly pouring billions of dollars into more government bureaucracy. Spending in Washington is out of control; career politicians spend without consequence. Erik Aadland understands that Congress should start acting more like the millions of Americans who face difficult financial decisions every day. Erik is also ready to remedy the irresponsible policies and lack of enforcement at our border. He kept a strategic border crossing secure while serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army, and he will leverage that experience to advocate for better immigration and national security policies. Erik Aadland will serve America proudly in the next Congress in Washington.”

Erik’s remarks:

“I am honored to have Don Ytterberg’s endorsement. Don and I agree that heavy-handed government policies have a negative impact on our economy and limit our citizens’ potential. As a Congressman, I will work to restore the Federal government to a limited role that respects our individual rights. I will fight against policies that destroy opportunity and disempower people by making them dependent on the government. I will always put the people of Colorado first.”
