ENDORSEMENT

Erik Aadland announces a formal endorsement from Representative Tom Tancredo

August 4, 2022

Today, Erik Aadland, CD7 Republican candidate for Congress, announces a formal endorsement from Representative Tom Tancredo.

Rep. Tancredo represented Colorado’s sixth congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 1999 to 2009.

Tancredo was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 1976, where he served three terms. In 1981, Tancredo was appointed by Ronald Reagan to be regional director to the U.S. Department of Education, reappointed by George H.W. Bush. In 2008, as a Congressman, Tancredo decided not to seek re-election and instead ran a presidential campaign centered on the issues of illegal immigration and terrorism.

Erik Aadland demonstrated his patriotism as a decorated combat veteran. We share a deeply abiding love for our country. Erik possesses both the knowledge and the character to fight for meaningful change in Washington. Particularly, he understands that our national security and public safety are vital issues predicated on securing our borders and ending the crisis of uncontrolled mass migration. For these reasons, it is my pleasure to endorse Erik Aadland as the next Congressman from Colorado’s 7th district.

Erik’s remarks:

Rep. Tancredo once said, ‘Our Founders were not naïve simpletons. They understood that human freedom is a fragile thing, that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.’ It’s a wise saying from a wise man, and one with which I agree. Lack of vigilance at the border has led to rampant human and drug trafficking that is claiming many innocent lives. Our leadership is obligated to put a stop to this crisis, and I pledge to be a part of that effort. I am deeply appreciative of Rep. Tancredo’s previous work on this issue, and deeply grateful for his endorsement.
