Erik Aadland announces a formal endorsement from retired Special Agent with the FBI Agent Kirsten Swenson

September 19, 2022

Today, Erik Aadland, CD7 Republican candidate for Congress, was endorsed by retired Special Agent with the FBI, Kirsten Swenson.

Kirsten Swenson served in the U. S. Army as a helicopter pilot from 1991 to 1996. She was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 20 years. She managed the North East Regional Critical Incident and Employee Assistance Program worldwide out of New York City and also investigated counterintelligence matters.

Kirsten also managed a horse boarding and training facility for about five years, developing an understanding of the challenges small businesses experience.

Kirsten obtained an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a graduate degree from Troy State University.

In a statement sent to the Aadland campaign, Kirsten stated:

I wholeheartedly endorse Erik Aadland for Congress. When I met Erik for the first time, his devotion and concern for Colorado’s citizens were immediately clear to me. As a combat veteran, Erik fully understands the meaning of service to our community in fulfillment of their needs. As a retired law enforcement agent, I can rest assured Erik cares deeply about and is ready to support the men and women in blue. He will fully stand behind the protection and security of his constituents. I cannot think of a better suited candidate for Congress than Erik Aadland.

Erik’s remarks:

“Kirsten Swenson is an exemplary American with a long and proud history of service to community and country. Her endorsement carries all the more weight given her experience in both the military and law enforcement. It greatly encourages me to have her support.”
