Upon hearing Colorado was beautiful, Barb moved to the state in 1980 with $400 and everything she could carry in her car. She worked for Hewlett Packard for 10 years and later remodeled her house, which sparked a desire to achieve a degree in Interior Design. While in school, Barb worked multiple jobs at once, in pursuit of the American Dream. Upon graduation, Barb moved to Denver and worked at the renowned furniture/design company, Davis and Shaw.
Barb currently co-owns and operates Meadow Creek Design Studio, providing clients with beautiful designs and high-quality products.
In a statement sent to Erik Aadland’s campaign, Barb stated:
“I was first introduced to Erik through a friend. I have never endorsed a candidate or really been involved in politics. However, after meeting Erik, I realized he was as concerned as I have been about the direction our country is going.
His values aligned with mine; we want what’s best for America, meaning jobs for everyone, a strong economy, a secure border, energy independence and a government that upholds our Constitution instead of constantly trying to tear it down.
As a small business owner, inflation, extended lead times, and ever-increasing prices have hurt us. People are waiting 6-8 months for a kitchen when it used to be a month and a half or two months max.
Erik served in the military and understands the sacrifices it takes to keep this great country free. We need that in Washington. He is a true servant leader.”
